"Long Long Time" (Guy Forsyth)

This song says it all for me.

The video does make sad, but valid points, though I do not believe it covers everyone, nor do I think we are spiraling down that path.

In my opinion it has always been like this. It is just a matter of what point you realized it in your life and began to notice. History records the very bad and very good, our accolades and icons, but we do not really remember the average joe who has always been out for himself. He is the one who we push to the back of our thoughts, but if you think about it he has always been there, snatching the job by any means during the depression, adding himself to the ranks of the old gangs of New York, adding his name to the family mafioso or just cajoling some sap into another pyramid scheme to get himself out of his own trap.

Anyway, I'm digressing. The point is I think we've always been here fighting to keep our heads above water, or in this case morality.

My friend,
You are being indomitably optimistic again. Stop it! :)
